Swan’s Pool Geocache
Swan’s Pool
Congratulations on finding our Swan’s Pool Geocache!
“Poll na h-Eala”, also known as the ‘Swan’s Pool’ is the name given to a natural stone harbor near Port Ellen on the island of Islay, once used by the local fisherman to moor their boats, including some of Hamish’s family. Although it’s not used as much today, a family of swan’s have since taken up residence there hence the name. Hamish composed this tune while staying in Port Ellen in 2020.
The Little Alasdair’ was composed by Megan for Eabhal’s number one fan, her dad Atty. Always a loyal supporter of the band and always quick with a dram. The final reel comes from Lewisman, fiddler Alasdair White who now lives in America.
